David B. Wehmeyer 114th Illustrious Potentate of Al Malaikah Shrine A.A.O.N.O.M.S. David was born January 6, 1959 in San Antonio Texas. Very soon after, his father was transferred to Phoenix. They lived in Phoenix until his father was again transferred this time to Los Angeles, California. David graduated from Downey High School in June 1976, at the age of 17. He attended College at Cerritos Jr. College. Before finishing he started working with his father, which he thought was temporary. David worked for his father's company, HW Maintenance for 24 years. David's father brought him in to Masonry, January 1984, Downey Masonic Lodge #220. He was the Master of Downey United Lodge #220, in 2003. He was awarded the Hiram Award in 2005. During David's Masonic life he has contributed in numerous ways. David became a Shriner in 1985, and then joined the Downey Shrine Club. David was the President of The Downey Shrine Club in 1993, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. David volunteered as one of the Camp Coordinators for the Shrine Football game in 2001, 2002 and 2004. David was elected High Priest of Downey Chapter #157 of the Royal Arch Mason in 2007 and again 2008. There he received the Meritorious Service award for his service to the Royal Arch. David and Diane were married Oct. 10, 1998. They live in Downey, California. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. David works for a Property Management Company in Orange County. David feels his life has been blessed and believes it is because of his involvement with the Masonic Families and all the people he has met throughout the years.
